The superhero film “Wonder Woman” has recently surprised everyone by climbing to the top of Rotten Tomatoes’ rating for the genre. Gal Gadot, who portrays the iconic character, has been vocal about her stance against sexual harassment in Hollywood. However, not everyone was pleased with the film’s success, as Avatar director James Cameron called it a step backwards in cinema. Nevertheless, Warner Bros.’s “Wonder Woman” marked a successful debut for the DC Cinematic Universe, garnering a 92% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and generating a whopping 821.5 million USD in revenue despite its production budget of only 149 million USD.
Not long ago, Wonder Woman broke records at the box office by surpassing even Spider-Man as the most successful superhero movie. Moreover, DC enthusiasts were thrilled to learn that the movie received the highest rating for the superhero genre on Rotten Tomatoes.
Rotten Tomatoes recently released an updated list of the top superhero movies based on ratings, and Wonder Woman directed by Patty Jenkins took the top spot with an impressive 108.569%. Other movies on the list include Logan (107.954%), The Dark Knight (106,133%), Spider-Man: Homecoming (105.957%), Thor: Ragnarok (105,561%), The Avengers (103.989%), Iron Man (103.978%), Captain America: Civil War (103.922%), The Incredibles (103.407%), and LEGO Batman Movie (103.162%). This news came as a surprise not only to viewers but also to Jenkins and lead actress Gadot who both expressed their gratitude and joy on social media.

The Wonder Woman movie has now come and gone, but it left an impression on the viewers with its spectacular action scenes, bringing a new dimension to the superhero genre. Warner Bros is hopeful that the film will win an Oscar in 2018. Fans of Wonder Woman are eagerly anticipating the next Snyder superhero movie, particularly Justice League featuring Gadot, set to release later this month.
