Interestingly, Veuve Clicquot, which means “Widow Clicquot,” was named after Barbe-Nicole Clicquot, who took over the family wine business at the age of 27 after her husband’s possible suicide in 1805.

Solaire Culture has decided to honor the legacy of the Widow Clicquot by donating the proceeds from its Yellow Cafe to RE:Her, a nationwide non-profit organization dedicated to empowering and promoting female food and drink entrepreneurs.
